'XLink or X Link Language is a recommendation of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) that allows you to create XML that describe cross-relationships between documents, images, and files on the Internet or other networks. In this way, XLink allows:

  • Create a linkage relationship between several documents.
  • Add to a link information about it (metadata).
  • Create and describe links to documents in many locations.

Implementations

  • Reporting Standard S.L. has a built-in XLink processor in its XBRL processor.
