Xiuhcoatl or Xiuhcóatl (Nahuatl: Xiuhcōātl; xiuh- 'fire/sun(ar)/precious (a)/jade' and -cōātl 'serpent': 'fire [serpent]', 'sun[serpent] serpent', 'precious serpent' or 'jade [serpent]'; it is a living weapon and the most powerful of the Mexica gods wielded by the god of war Huitzilopochtli, with which he killed 400 of his brothers and his sister the goddess Coyolxauhqui.Mythical fire serpent; you can see the representation of two of these creatures in the Sun Stone.
