World Class Manufacturing
World Class in the industrial world is synonymous with excellence; The World Class Manufacturing concept (literally “World Class Manufacturing”) means manufacturing of excellence, it is the way of manufacturing something that other manufacturers want to imitate. It includes strategies such as Total Quality Control (TQC), the Just-in-Time Method (JIT), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and other management, technology and service strategies.
World Class Manufacturing means being competitive in industrial manufacturing at the level of the best in the world; it is not just an extension of TPM. On the contrary: it is a tool to be among the best in the world (World Class Manufacturing).
WCM can be considered an extension of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance or Management). To the 4 basic pillars of TPM, which are: focused improvement, autonomous maintenance, professional maintenance and maintenance in conception, other pillars have been added, which are: safety, hygiene and environment at work, environment, customer service customer, total control of product quality, staff development and cost reduction. This gives an idea of the new industrial model, which focuses directly on the customer. The factories, from the most basic to the most advanced in their processes, seek to achieve total customer satisfaction.
