Luna de lobos is a novel by Julio Llamazares from 1985. It focuses on the human adventures of the republican combatants who, in the years immediately after the civil war Spanish, resisted in the mountains. The axis of the work is not the historical or political perspective, although such aspects constitute the ultimate backdrop, but the analysis and description of the primary survival instinct that can lead a man harassed towards violence. Sober and rich, apparently concise and actually deeply nuanced, Julio Llamazares's prose serves a solid narrative structure with admirable rigor and lyrical power.

It was adapted to the cinema in 1987 with actors like Santiago Ramos, who played Ángel, and Antonio Resines, who played Ramiro, and Kiti Mánver.

A new English translation has been published by Peter Owen Publishers, under the title "Wolf Moon", in 2017.
