Wild Man Blues is a documentary directed by Barbara Kopple about Woody Allen and his jazz band's tour of Europe in the late 1990s.

The documentary stands out for showing Allen's non-film side, showing his almost unknown side as a musician (he composed the original music for his film The Sleepyhead). With a very rudimentary jazz style (the first jazz played in New Orleans), Allen plays the clarinet while touring the most important cities of the old continent: Madrid, Paris, Venice and Rome among others.

Kopple's camera follows the filmmaker and musician as he travels through the cities, in his hotel room (confirming that the phobias of Woody Allen's characters are his own, in addition to his obsessive affection for his native New York) and, of course, at some of his concerts, while he and his band perform mostly instrumental jazz songs.

One of the most interesting aspects of the documentary is the fact of finally meeting his parents, especially the mother, Nettie -physically very similar to Woody- since in fiction they have appeared recurrently in his films, without that have a lot to do with reality.
