Washū Hakubi (Tenchi Muyō!)

Washu Hakubi, fictional character in the anime and manga Tenchi Muyo!. She calls herself the greatest scientific genius in the universe. Her character varies depending on continuity, although sometimes she presents a series of innate faculties that she rarely uses, preferring to solve problems with reason or technology. In all incarnations, Washu has also proven to be unwise and generally harder to fool than Tenchi or the other girls, making it harder for her to fall into an enemy trap. InTenchi in Tokyo , Washu is a renegade scientist who had helped steal the Ryoko Jurai Light Stone, an artifact from the planet, and was pursued by Juraian forces (led by Ayeka) and the Police Galaxy (Mihoshi and directed by Kiyone). During the chase, Washu sensed an unusual energy source emitting from Earth, and after they were forced to crash-land on Earth, Washu sensed that the power came from Tenchi's necklace (a relic inherited from her mother, Achika Masaki. Throughout the series, while researching her necklace, Washu invented various themes to allow the girls to see Tenchi during their time in Tokyo (in particular, a dimensional portal), however, her inventions often malfunction.Personality-wise, she is still a mad scientist, but she is more mellowed than her outgoing Tenchi Universe incarnation.

When Yugi's plot had Masaki's family scattered, Washu was the only one not fooled by her, and after analyzing Yugi's previous attack on the Masaki shrine, Washu discovered Jurai arrived. Pretty Sammy

In theMagical Pretty Girl SammyOVA series, she is a child prodigy from Earth known as Washu Kobayashi and in Magic Project S (TV's Pretty Samy), Washu Fittsujerarudo Kobayashi (she was given her Seiyu's last name, Yuko Kobayashi).
