Walter Momper

Walter Momper (born February 21, 1945) is a German politician. He was mayor of Berlin from 1989 to 1991. Despite the brief period of his mayorship, he was present in two historical events: the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989 and the reunification of the two parts of Germany (west and east) and therefore ende of the "two Berlins" in October 1990.

Walter Momper is part of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).
