WAD
They are called WAD (Where is All the Data (Literally translated as: "Where All the Data Is") to files with the extension.wad, which was registered as a 3D map module for the Doom engine In turn, the 'WAD's' were part of a large number of games developed by id Software as well as other games that used the DOOM engine. This extension is also used by the channels of the Wii console.
WAD's are constructions forged by Doom players through programs specialized in this type of action such as DoomBuilder or WadAuthor, where their division usually consists of a total of maps (generally 32 for Megawads)., depending on the quantity decided by the producers. The download of WAD's on the network is varied and multiple. There are a large number of websites with a considerable number of WAD's in their lists, where Doomworld is the source with the most items registered so far. Recognition in the construction of WAD's is carried out on this same page in an awards ceremony titled the Cacowards where ten awards have been made so far.[citation required ] WAD's are also easily found through servers in multiplayer IP networking programs such as Zdaemon or Zandronum. The construction of WAD's is considered a tradition among Doom players, since the weight of a regular WAD does not vary from 20 MB.
