Contenido The Statue of Victory is a statue that was present in the Roman Senate, it is of pagan origin and a source of continuous disputes in late antiquity in the Roman Empire, where power struggles between pagan senators and Christian senators they had the statue removed and brought back to the senate over and over again as a symbol of the domination of Christianity over paganism and vice versa. This dispute lasted for more than a century and, although bloodless, came to be called the war of the statues, since it is assumed that the replacement of pagan statues caused great agitation between supporters and detractors of them.
