Verónica Sánchez
Verónica Sánchez Calderón (Sevilla, July 1, 1977) is a Spanish film, theater and television known mainly for its interpretations in the television series Los Serrano i > (2003-2006) as Eva Capdevila, without identity (2014-2015) as Amparo Duque, El Embarcadero (2019-2020) as Alejandra Leiva and Sky Red (2021-2023) as coral. In addition to having received three nominations at the Goya Awards for their roles in the films south of Granada (2003), Camarón (2005) and Gordos i > (2009).

Sánchez left his hometown to move to Madrid and study dramatic art, sharing a floor with the actor Félix Gómez. While she was a student she performed sporadic performances in plays, such as at the Bloods of Blood of Lorca.
She was a candidate for the Goya Award for the best revelation actress for her performance in south of Granada (2003, Fernando Colomo), where she played Juliana, a young woman who becomes pregnant with the writer Gerald Brenan (played by Matthew Goode). It was later hired by Luis San Narciso for Los Serrano (Telecinco, 2003-2008) to give life to Eva, Lucía's eldest daughter (Belén Rueda), a professor who reunites with her first love and decides to marry and move with him; His character ends up falling in love with his stepbrother Marcos (Fran Perea) and end up coming out in real life for 3 years (2003-2006).
In 2004 she starred, along with her former roommate Félix Gómez, in a comedy titled The Year of the Tick. This role was followed by Sara, a virgin university student who joined a rock group called Las Siux and that played in a well-known nightclub on February 23, 1981. The film was called El Calentito and it repeated its profile as a small-big girl who lost her innocence, joined the real world and made her own decisions, following her own criteria. Before the premiere of this film, she played La Chispa, wife of Camarón de la Isla, in Camarón. To address her role, Verónica interviewed the authentic Dolores Montoya. For her performance, she was nominated for the Goya Award for best supporting female performance. As soon as that filming was completed, Verónica joined the recording of Los 2 sides of the bed, in which she played Marta, a woman who abandons her fiancé to start a lesbian relationship. Lucía Jiménez, Guillermo Toledo, Ernesto Alterio, Alberto San Juan, Pilar Castro and María Esteve accompanied her in a musical comedy in which her character felt unloved by her girlfriend and to whom she granted him at the end of the performance emotional freedom.
In 2006 he joined the cast of Mia Sarah, where his co-stars were Daniel Guzmán, Fernando Fernán Gómez, Manuel Lozano and Phyllida Law. At the end of the year she received a nomination for the medals of the circle of film writers for Mia Sarah (2006).Due to her film commitments, Verónica left Los Serrano for a time. i>. That same year she starred in the first season of Genesis: In the Mind of the Murderer where she played a criminal psychologist and she accepted a role in The 13 Roses (2007) Emilio Martínez-Lázaro.
In 2009 she participated in the film Gordos by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, for which she was nominated again at the Goya Awards. In 2011 she participated in the Spanish-Chilean-Mexican co-production La Leccion de Pintura, playing the role of Elvira, a young woman from southern Chile whose son has an exceptional talent for painting. In 2013, she signed on for the daily series Gran Reserva: El Origen that aired on La 1 and in which she gave life to Sofía Reverte. In 2014 she joined the cast of the Antena 3 series Without identity, in which she gave life to Amparo and shared the set with performers such as Megan Montaner and Miguel Ángel Muñoz, during the two seasons of the series. In 2015 she starred in the series El Caso: Crónica de Eventos with the role of Clara López Dóriga in the new prime-time Spanish Television.
In 2017 he was part of the cast of the Bambú Producciones series for Antena 3 Tiempos de guerra and the following year he began filming El Embaradero, an original Movistar+ series in which she gave life to Alejandra and shared the spotlight with Álvaro Morte and Irene Arcos during its two seasons. In 2020 she joined the filming of the new Netflix series from the creators of La casa de papel, Sky Rojo, where she played one of its protagonists during its two seasons, broadcast in March and July 2021.
