Ursula Andress (Ostermundigen, March 19, 1936) is a Swiss film actress.

Biography

Ursula Andress was a sex symbol of the 1960s, being the second "Bond girl" in the first film of the hit 007 saga, James Bond vs. the Doctor No (1962). From this film she is especially remembered for the scene of her on a beach dressed in a bikini. Her beginnings were in Italian cinema, although she did not achieve fame until she played the character of Honey Ryder in the aforementioned film production based on the novel by Ian Fleming, 007 .

He acted alongside characters such as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Peter Sellers or Peter O'Toole in films directed by great masters such as Robert Aldrich or Richard Thorpe.

She was married in 1957 to John Derek, an actor and film director who later married Linda Evans and Bo Derek. In 1966 she separated from John Derek. Although she starred in famous romances with the actors Marlon Brando, James Dean, Jean Paul Belmondo, Ryan O'Neal and the Argentine boxer Carlos Monzón, she Ursula she did not remarry. From her romance with Harry Hamlin (Angel Law ), she had her only child. Both coincided together in Clash of the Titans (1981), where Ursula played Aphrodite and Harry played Perseus.

A regular at being photographed nude in Playboy magazine, Ursula Andress was a sexual icon until the late 1970s. In 1995 she was chosen by the US magazine Empire Magazine one of the hundred sexiest women in cinema of all time.

Private life

On May 19, 1980, after performing a caesarean section at Cedars de Sinai Hospital in the city of Los Angeles, his only son Dimitri Andress Hamlin was born, along with actor Harry Hamlin. At that time she was 44 years old while he was only 28 years old. Together with the actress Claudia Cardinale, they became in the late 70's and early 80's the two actresses to be mothers after forty.
