Tubinger Stift

Contenido The Tübinger Stift or Tübingen Seminary is a student residence and educational institution of the Protestant Church in Württemberg located in Tübingen. It was founded in 1536 by Duke Ulrich for native Württemberg students who wanted to become religious ministers or teachers. They receive a scholarship that covers support, lodging and other expenses. At the Stift, great importance has been attached to philosophy and philology since its inception. Among its students and teachers there have been famous theologians, philosophers, poets and scholars of other arts and sciences.
