Trapeze (in English, Trapeze) is a 1956 American film directed by Carol Reed, starring Burt Lancaster, Tony Curtis and Gina Lollobrigida as main actors. The story is based on the novel The Killing Frost, by Max Catto, written in 1950.

Burt Lancaster brings out his previous experience in cinema as a circus artist, precisely as a trapeze artist. The dubbing of the scenes on the Lollobrigida trapeze was done by one of the best trapeze artists in the world, Pinito del Oro.

Plot

A young trapeze artist travels to Paris to train to achieve the triple jump, a feat until then achieved by very few men. There he trains under the guidance of a trapeze artist who was injured doing that stunt. Finally a love triangle is formed when a young trapeze artist enters the scene.
