21 airports, three with international flights. Prinair was the national airline. Eastern Airlines made the San Juan airport one of its operations centers, although this has subsequently happened with American Airlines.

Puerto Rico had a railroad system in the 19th century. Since the end of the 20th century there is only one train that works, and it is a tourist attraction in Bayamón. For 2003, there are plans to inaugurate a new railway system through the metropolitan area that makes up San Juan, Guaynabo, Bayamon and Carolina.
