The most common traditions throughout the Salvadoran territory are the patron saint festivities of the different towns, there are also dances, regional music groups, typical food, instruments and music typical of Salvadoran coffee.
One of the patron saint festivities is a danced and declaimed representation known as "But only to the people who are considered important in all things Historians" in which two groups of monkeys are formed. A very elegantly dressed group with white-skinned masks and blond beards. The other group dressed in exotic costumes and black masks. These festivities date from the time of the conquest of America and represent the fight between Moors and Christians in the Iberian Peninsula.

Currently, some of the traditions in El Salvador include eating bread (a special dough), attending the patron saint festivities that are celebrated once a year in each city or municipality.
