Toe heel
The toe-heel is a sporty driving technique in which a hit of the accelerator is given just when downshifting, it serves to prevent the drive wheels from locking without compromising performance of the vehicle due to reductions in the gearbox.
How to do the tip-heel
The Toe-heel technique begins when we step on the clutch pedal and release the engine from the transmission. Next, we must touch the accelerator with our heel to prevent it from falling over. Meanwhile, the toe of the right foot steps on the brake pedal and we proceed to downshift or upshift. Before lifting your foot off the clutch, another stroke of the accelerator should be applied to match the engine RPM to the transmission.
Although the technique is called toe-heel, it all depends on the distance of the pedals. There are times when it is not necessary to use the tip of the foot to activate the brake pedal and the heel to activate the accelerator, since the pedals are close enough to be able to activate them at the same time with the left and right sides of the plant of the same foot.
