Tite Kubo
Tite Kubo (久保 帯人, Kubo Taito?) also called Kubotite, is a Japanese mangaka best known for his work Bleach. His real name is Noriaki Kubo (久保 宣章, Kubo Noriaki?), and was born on June 26, 1977 in Hiroshima Prefecture.
Biography
Kubo drew his first manga in high school, titled Zombie Powder. After submitting it to Shōnen Jump magazine, it was first published in 1999. It ran to four volumes before being cancelled. due to its low popularity and excessively violent content.
Later on, the author would create the series that would make him internationally known. Although Bleach was born mostly inspired by the Saint Seiya manga, Shōnen Jump initially rejected it due to its similarities to Yū Yū Hakusho. Published in 2002, it had an acceptable reception among readers that made its continuity questionable. Kubo was discouraged by the idea that Bleach would suffer the same fate as his first manga. However, Akira Toriyama, creator of the universally known Dragon Ball, sent him a letter of encouragement that inspired him. Against initial forecasts, the series ended up becoming one of the most successful both in Japan[citation needed] and in the rest of the world.[ citation needed] The story ended its Shōnen Jump publication on August 17, 2016.
