Tomás Zorí Delgado (Madrid, Spain; 1925 - Madrid, September 2, 2002) was a Spanish actor.

Biography

The son of a bricklayer and housewife, he was born in the Madrid neighborhood of Vallecas. Since he was a child, he shows a special talent for making people laugh, with family shows of tap dancing. He made his stage debut as a comic tenor in the play La del manojo de rosas at the Teatro Romea in Murcia.

In 1942 he performed Don Quintín el amargao, together with Manuel Codeso and Fernando Santos with whom he formed the trio Zori, Santos and Codeso. During the following twenty years they became the highest representatives of the magazine genre in Spain.

In 1962, Codeso left the group that became a duo: Zori and Santos, who would continue together professionally until the eighties.

His film career began in 1954 with The Generous Bandit. With a film career not too extensive, however, he worked under the orders of directors such as José María Forqué, Luis García Berlanga, Fernando Fernán Gómez or Javier Aguirre.

He also appeared sporadically on television, including La comedia musical española, an anthology about the Magazine made in 1985 by Fernando García de la Vega for TVE or Quién da la vez (1995), by Vicente Escrivá.

He died on September 2, 2002, at the age of 77, in Madrid, a victim of Alzheimer's.
