Thomas E. Mann
Thomas E. Mann (September 10, 1944) is an author and political scientist working for the Brookings Institution. His main works and conferences are on the elections in the United States, especially on the reforms in the financial aspect of these campaigns. In The Rise and Fall of the Media Establishment, Darrell West names Mann as "The king of the pundits" (& # 34; the King of the Experts & # 34;), for his frequent appearances on CNN and in prominent newspapers such as The Washington Post .
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he attended the University of Florida, where in 1966 he received a B.A. in political science, before receiving an M.A. (1968) and a Ph.D. (1977) at the University of Michigan. Later, he worked as an assistant in the offices of Senator Philip A. Hart and representative of James G. O'Hara.
