War of the Roses is a 1989 American comedy film directed by Danny DeVito and starring Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, and DeVito in the lead roles.

The film was awarded the 1990 BMI Awards to David Newman and the 1990 Goldene Leinwand to 20th Century Fox.

Synopsis

A couple meets at an auction in a bid for an object. They fall in love, get married and seem like a happy marriage, until due to an incident they end up fighting. They strive to keep the house where they lived and since they are in the process of divorce, they try to make life miserable for each other until the end.
