Los Nikis are a Spanish musical group born in the 80s. They appeared to give the Madrid scene a Ramones-style twist, with songs with fun lyrics and a guitar-driven pop punk style like The Empire Strikes Back, The Orange Is Not Mechanical, Enrique the Ultrasur and For the sake of interest I love you, Andrés. Their first concert, in May 1980, was given as the opening act for Nacha Pop at the Instituto Santamarca, on Puerto Rico Street in Madrid. Joaquín Rodríguez tells it in the documentary “De un tiempo libre a esta parte”, by Beatriz Alonso Aranzábal (2005).

They left the group at the beginning of the 90s, to dedicate each one to their respective professional careers, re-releasing a limited edition album at the end of the 90s titled More of the same.

The only niki who resumed his musical career was Joaquín Rodríguez, founding the group Los Acusicas together with Mauro Canut (Los Vegetales), counting for his first album This was it with the collaborations of Emilio Niki and Nacho Canut (Fangoria).

After its dissolution, a large number of groups in Spain declare themselves heirs of its casual pop punk style, such as Airbag or Depressing Claim.

In 2019 they published an EP called "Less of the same".
