The Holy Girl (2004) is a co-production film between Argentina, Spain and Italy. She was invited to participate in the Cannes Film Festival and nominated for four Silver Condors, an award granted by the Argentine Film Critics Association.

Synopsis

In a city in the province of Buenos Aires, a group of mystical teenagers worries about their role in the divine plan. An otolaryngology congress makes Jano (Carlos Belloso), a prestigious doctor, disembark. The doctor brushes against Amalia (María Alché), one of the adolescents, in the street. Perhaps God has called her to save this man from her lack. The established world of the doctor cracks before the sacred mission of the girl.
