The Fan (Fanatico in Spain and El Fanatico in Latin America) is a 1996 American film. Directed by Tony Scott.

Plot

Bobby Rayburn (Wesley Snipes) is a baseball player who has been in the best positions in the national league. He joins the San Francisco Giants team. An obsessive fan who sells hunting knives, Gil Renard (Robert De Niro), is excited about this signing. However, Bobby plays very poorly that season and Renard does everything he can to help him. But he goes too far.
