The Butcher's Wife

The Butcher's Wife — titled A Witch in New York in Spain, or What a beautiful guess! in Latin America — is a film starring Demi Moore and Jeff Daniels, directed by Terry Hughes.

Plot

Marina (Demi Moore) is a young woman with special powers. She can predict some things that will happen in the future. For several nights she dreams of a man who will be her husband. When Leo (George Dzundza), a man from New York who has gone fishing, arrives on the beach, Marina is convinced that he is the man of her dreams. She goes with him to New York and they get married. The neighbors soon establish a good relationship with Marina and she creates a magical atmosphere that captivates everyone. Over time, Marina realizes that her marriage is not as she had imagined it to be, but in the neighborhood there is a young man who, as she believes, is indeed the man of her dreams.
