La Brabanzona (French: La Brabançonne; Dutch and German: Brabançonne) is the national anthem of Belgium. The original version was composed in French although there are versions in Dutch and German, the three official languages of the country.

This hymn was written in 1830 by the French actor Hypolite Louis Alexandre Dechet, known as "Jenneval" (Lyon, January 27, 1803-Lierre, October 19, 1830), who was acting in a theater in Brussels. He took part in the fight for the independence of Belgium and fell in Lierre.

Music is by François van Campenhout.

Spanish lyrics (translation from French, Dutch and German)

Noble Belgium, oh dear mother,
To you our hearts, to you our arms,
To you our blood, oh homeland!
We all swear, you will live!
You will always live big and beautiful!
And your invincible unity It will have as its immortal motto: The King, the Law, the Freedom!
It will have as its immortal motto: The King, the Law, the Freedom!
The King, the Law, Liberty! (2x)

Lyrics in French

Noble Belgian, ô mère chérie,
À toi nos coeurs, à toi nos bras,
À toi notre sang, ô Patrie!
Nous le jurons tous, you will live!
Tu vivras toujours grande et belle
Et ton invincible unity
Aura pour devise immortelle:
Le Roi, la Loi, la Liberté!
Aura pour devise immortelle:
Le Roi, la Loi, la Liberté!
Le Roi, la Loi, la Liberté! (2x)

Lyrics in Dutch

O dierbaar België, o heilig land der vaad'ren
Onze ziel en ons hart zijn u gewijd.
Aanvaard ons kracht en het bloed van onze ad'ren,
Wees ons doel in arbeid en in strijd.
Bloei, or land, in eendracht niet te breken;

Lyrics in German

O liebes Land, or Belgiens Erde,
Dir unser Herz, Dir unsere Hand,
Dir unser Blut, dem Heimatherde,
Wir schwören's Dir, or Vaterland!
So blühe froh in voller Schöne,
Zu der die Freiheit Dich erzog,
Und fortan singen Deine Söhne;
Gesetz und König und die Freiheit hoch!
Und fortan singen Deine Söhne;
Gesetz und König und die Freiheit hoch!
Gesetz und König und die Freiheit hoch! (2x)
