Terry Jones

Terry Jones (Colwyn Bay, Wales, February 1, 1942 - London, January 21, 2020) was a British actor, film director, screenwriter, comedian and historian. He was a member of the comedy group Monty Python.

Biography

She studied English at Oxford University, where she met Michael Palin. Remembered for his female roles accompanied by the shrill voice he made. In the third series of Monty Python & # 39;s Flying Circus , he played countless roles, as a judge, a freemason, the man who made everyone laugh, and the unforgettable brief scenes in which he appeared playing the piano naked. He played Brian's mother in The Life of Brian, a film he directed. He also conducted Knights of the Square Table, co-directed with Terry Gilliam. After the dissolution of the group he dedicated himself, mainly, to television; as a scriptwriter and presenter he even directed an episode of the series The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones . He was also a screenwriter for the Jim Henson film Inside the Labyrinth. He also directed history documentaries. In 2002 he directed two television documentaries for the Discovery Channel, the Hidden History of Egypt and the Hidden History of Rome .

In September 2016, he was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia, a type of dementia that prevented him from speaking and communicating normally. He passed away on January 21, 2020 at the age of 77 from natural causes arising from said disease, his body was cremated at Golders Green.
