Terminative case

In morphology, the terminative case is a grammatical case that indicates the place where or moment when something ends. In Spanish it is usually translated by the preposition "hasta". The following examples are from Estonian. In this language, the terminative is indicated by the suffix '-ni'. For example:

  • jõeni: «to the river» / «as far as the river»
  • kella kuueni: «up to six o'clock»
