Telepacific

Telepacífico is a Colombian open television channel, launched on July 3, 1988. It was the third regional channel in the country, after Teleantioquia, created in 1985, and Telecaribe, created in 1986.

Although the channel belongs to the State, public and private entities are the ones that produce, market and rent the programming spaces. Its signal covers the departments on the Colombian Pacific coast (Valle del Cauca, Chocó, Cauca and Nariño), although it can be seen via satellite since 1996.

History

The channel began its transmissions on July 3, 1988, under the direction of Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajal.

Programming

The channel's programming has stood out for its news, special events, documentaries and education. The EDUCA TV program, started in 2001, was taken by the Ministry of Education as a national model. The channel's programs have received various national and international awards, thanks to their educational, documentary and journalistic productions.

The channel since 2020 is under the management of the social communicator, Ricardo Bermúdez. In the direction of Production is Marino Aguado and in the direction of Programming, María Fernanda Campuzano.
