The University of Tampere, in Finnish Tampereen yliopisto (abbreviation TUNI or TAU), is a university Finnish public. It was established on January 1, 2019 as a result of the merger of the Tampere University of Technology and the former University of Tampere. The new university is also the governing body of the Tampere University of Applied Sciences.

It has around 20,000 students, making it the second largest university in Finland. It has three campuses and seven faculties.
