T-shirt
A shirt is a warm clothing item, usually with short sleeves, a round neck or in the shape of a "V". There are various designs, which vary some of their basic characteristics, for example, modifying the round neck (also called "boxed") for another in "V" (or peak) or adding pockets. In addition to short-sleeved, there are long-sleeved and even sleeveless, and also strapless (the latter is also called skeleton, camisilla or flannel). Its length varies from mid-thigh to above the navel, although it usually ends where the pants or skirt begin, that is, on the hips.
Usually it is made with cotton thread, which makes it a fresh, light and very comfortable garment to wear. It can be worn as undergarment, but in hot weather it is often worn as the only garment on the upper body.
T-shirts are usually personalized with serigraphs, vinyl prints, embroidery or other decorative elements with some text or advertising, funny or protest drawing, which reinforces the casual character of the garment. For example, there are some with a business logo, commemorating some event (such as the Olympic Games or a concert), with a comic strip, with photographs or drawings of musical groups and soloists, and even with a poem.
Since the nineties, with the rise of the Internet, online stores have emerged that offer this type of garment, whose designs and quantity produced are made in a personalized way. Although it can be said that since the fifties they have been a symbol of the western way of life, spread worldwide.
It is not just a fashion issue, t-shirts are part of people's personality, character, tastes, etc. and due to the improvement of the technology with which they are manufactured and personalized, their price is decreasing to the point that a personalized t-shirt with designs created by the clients themselves can cost the same as a mass-produced t-shirt.
