The word spectrum can refer to different concepts:

• In mathematics, the spectrum of an operator ${displaystyle {hat {mathcal {A}}}}$ is the set of values ${displaystyle lambda }$ for which the operator ${displaystyle ({hat {mathcal {A}}}-lambda {hat {1}})^{-1}$ It has no continuous reverse.
• In medicine the word is used spectrum to refer to the extent of the series of microbial species on which a drug is therapeutically active.
• In politics, political spectrum is a way of representing different political flows.
• Finally, a spectrum or Ghost ghost is a representation of something supernatural or terrifying.
