SHARP Emblema, based on the logo of a Jamaican label.

Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice, whose acronym, SHARP, is also an English term meaning "sharp" or "sharp", is a group of skinheads founded in 1987 in New York, which was born with the aim of eradicating the national-socialist image of the movement.

From the beginning of its founding, SHARP declared itself as a skinhead group without any type of political orientation, since they did not see politics as part of the true skinhead, it was a non-partisan and anti-racist organization, although currently, a minority of the SHARP, have been able to identify with anarchism.[citation required]

In Europe it was introduced by Roddy Moreno, singer of the Oi! musical group, The Oppressed. Roddy did not faithfully enter the SHARP values, he introduces a "SHARP" highly politicized, which housed any anti-racist and anti-fascist skinhead without any distinction regarding their ideology. The SHARP logo is a Trojan helmet, alluding to the Trojan Records record company, specialized in reggae, rocksteady and ska.

Over the years, SHARP grew internationally until today, creating national and regional sections all over the world. Countries such as France, Spain, Germany, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile or the United States are some good examples where SHARP follows the same premises of anti-racism.
