View of The Great Chinese Wall Simatai.

Simatai, (in traditional Chinese, 司馬臺; in simplified Chinese, 司马台; pinyin, Sīmǎtái) is a section of the Great Wall of China located northeast of Beijing in the county by Miyun. This section of wall is located just over 100 kilometers from Beijing and is one of the least frequented, as it is also one of the furthest. Many of its kilometers are unrestored, and although they are well preserved, it is difficult to navigate them: in addition to several sunken sectors, there are sections of up to 70° slope that literally demand to be climbed. On the other hand, you can find landscapes of great beauty, far from tourist and social overcrowding. In Simatai you can see numerous watchtowers and obstruction walls, small walls within the wall. The climb to this section of the Great Wall can be done by Cable Car, including a small section of a so-called tourist train or rail, and the descent can be done through a zip line cable that crosses over a small reservoir. Very close to Simatai is the Jinshanling section.
