The enamelling of silver is a technique for working with this metal that was developed during the time of the Viceroyalty of Peru and that consists of coloring silver with fire by means of enamels of mineral colors that match the ornamentation.

This technique is clearly European and has been widely used since the Middle Ages and is still used in many places, including Peru.
