In 1995, Lagos arrived at the Desembarco de los Ángeles in the old Radio Concerto to host a space called La Moto-Neta. In 1996, he joined the television channel Rock & Pop where he hosts the program & # 34; Dinamo & # 34; , dedicated to the transmission of music videos. There, he begins to forge a career as an alternative youth entertainer. In 2000, after the closure of the Rock & Pop, he emigrates to Chilevisión where he hosts a conversation program El Futuro de Chile , showing a more serious side. In 2005, he was considered one of the candidates to succeed Antonio Vodanovic as host of the XLVI International Song Festival of Viña del Mar. However, Channel 13, organizer of the event, prefers the host of the Venezuelan singer Ricardo Montaner, since the Catholic station has a new challenge prepared for Lagos: the production of the channel's new reality show, The Farm and Close Encounters. The success of the program filmed in Pirque allows Sergio Lagos to animate the second season, La Granja VIP. In the middle of the year, Channel 13 confirmed that Lagos would be the host of the XLVII Viña del Mar Festival (2006) and that he would work as host of the Close Encounters of Granjeras, the last reality show of the channel produced in 2005.
At the beginning of 2006, he had the task of hosting, along with Karla Constant, the Channel 13 reality show, La Casa, and also Close Encounters, ending their broadcasts in April 2006. With the same host, he co-hosted the celebrity reality show Expedition Robinson, the VIP Island and Close Encounters. Subsequently, she assumed the direction of the stellar Locos por el baile and, at the beginning of 2007, she premiered the new reality show Fama, along with Cecilia Bolocco. In February 2007 he was again the presenter of the Viña del Mar Song Festival, this time with Tonka Tomicic. In October of the same year he animated the second season of Locos por el baile .

At the same time, Sergio hosts the docureality Garage Music Tour 2008, which then spans an entire year as a competition program for emerging bands. The same year he resumed his journalistic side and entered into the research process of the history of Chilean Television, as a result TV or no TV, a success of Channel 13's programming.
In the summer of 2009 Lagos hosts Tiempo Limit, and later La Movida del Festival.
In March of the same year, Movistar Música hosts a program that airs every Friday after Telenoche. To date, it is the most important music program in recent times, as it is the only space dedicated to Chilean sounds in currently broadcast on television and includes more than 40 chapters that will leave a unique historical record of the biography and songs of the most popular artists in the country.
On January 3, 2010, she premiered with Tonka Tomicic the nighttime program El hormiguero, which is a Chilean version of the Spanish program of the same name. There was a lot of expectation since the Lagos-Tomicic television couple was repeating themselves after doing so at the Viña del Mar Festival. In the first episode they scored 12 points on average. In the second, perhaps the most anticipated one was Pamela Anderson as a guest, yet she only scored 9 points. On January 7, it was announced that the program would only run until the end of January.

Lagos returns to the screens of the Catholic station on September 2, 2010 with a new season of the program Who deserves to be a millionaire?, commonly hosted by Mario Kreutzberger and which he already had in charge 2003. Said space, with certain modifications, at the end of 2010 passed into the hands of journalist Diana Bolocco, Cecilia's sister.
This same year, Textual Harassment is re-released, where Sergio, accompanied by only female panelists, receives and "harasses" with questions to male guests. A periodic program from Monday to Friday, which is favored every afternoon with the tune.
In 2011 Sergio returns to host in the reality genre, the channel premieres Year 0, where participants in mixed teams are faced with "post-apocalyptic" situations. That same year and with great success, Lagos heads the hosting of My Name Is, a talent show where anonymous contestants imitate famous artists. Later, in 2012, the program would have a second season VIP version, celebrities imitating celebrities.
Opposite Worlds, Channel 13's new reality show during 2012, was hosted by Sergio Lagos and remained on screen for six months, four nights a week, with repetitions at noon and high ratings that will set the tone for a second version of it, released in January 2013.
In 2015 he hosts the program The Voice Chile, an international program with its version in Chile, here the participants fight to be the best voice in Chile. This consists of 4 'coaches' In charge of choosing the best voices to be part of their team, these are: the Puerto Rican Luis Fonsi, the Italian Franco Simone and the Chileans Nicole and Álvaro López.
Musical career

Early years
From a very young age, Sergio showed his love for music, making his first chords with a wooden guitar. He formed his first band called Caballero Negro in the '80s together with his schoolmates.
Caballero Negro, was a band that performed covers of rock eminences, it was Lagos's first foray as a musician, in the group he played the role of guitarist. Caballero Negro made some presentations in the south of Chile but the school bands barely transcended, and despite the enthusiasm of the quintet, it did not prosper.
Martian
After finishing his school period, Sergio settles in the capital, and enters university to study journalism. Already working as a columnist for the Zona de Contacto supplement, Sergio met Rodrigo Castro, a musician who had an electronic project called Tec Machine; After several visits to Rodrigo's studio and ideas that arose between both of them, already very close friends, in the mid-90s they formed the group Marciano.
In 1998 they released their debut album 'Come Astronautas', just at the time that electronic music in Chile was generating interest, the duo began to perform in small clubs and bars with great success, attracting a large number of followers. Then they released 'Obnibula' (2000) and 'Polarizado' (2002), where already popular they performed shows throughout Chile and an important tour through Europe.
'Polarizado' is Marciano's most successful album so far, the album includes samples of songs by INXS, Michael Jackson and Aerosmith; in addition to the hit Superlight, which has a video clip recorded in Rotterdam, Holland by the director and producer Andrés Mardones, and the version of Pablo Neruda's Poem XX, a single that became a hit and was included in two tribute albums to the poet..
Later, Marciano released 'Panamericana' (2003) and 'Absoluto' (2005), an album that features the collaboration of Nicole on the songs “Siempre” and “Frágil”. This last album takes the duo to tour throughout Chile during 2005-2006; At the end of the promotion, Marciano takes an indefinite break.
Sergio Lagos: Alone
During the 'Absoluto' tour Sergio Lagos began to compose his first songs, upon returning, he locked himself in his studio and for a year worked on what would be his debut as a soloist. After having several demos recorded, in June 2006 he went to Estudionegro and began working with Cristián Heyne (Shōgun, Christianes), producer of the album, who guided him and together gave sonic life to the album.
'Solo' (2007), was recorded at Estudio Negro y Triana in Santiago de Chile, and mixed in San Francisco ca, USA by Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, Tori Amos, Beck). The album contains 13 songs that wander disturbingly between Rock/Pop and Folk.
“Telephone”, the first single released from 'Solo' did not go unnoticed, the song whose phrasing pays tribute to the song “Mother” by The Police, had high rotation on the main radio stations in the country and the single was distributed for free when buying Rolling Stone magazine, where Sergio appeared on the cover in an interview that thoroughly explains the process of making his debut album. Then followed the ballad “La Sangre”, which showed the other side of the record, and began a tour that kept Sergio traveling throughout Chile for a season showing ‘Solo’. The tour ended with the official launch of the album on July 7, 2007, with his first presentation in Santiago at discotheque Blondie.
Later Sergio travels to the United States to play in New York at LAMC (2007), and then to Mexico where he schedules two concerts, and works an extensive promotional schedule for 'Solo', visits radio stations and is interviewed on several programs music video. In Mexico the reception by the public is positive and his video clips reach high rotation on TeleHit.
Back in Chile, Sergio joins Garage Music Tour 2008 making presentations in the most important cities of Chile, sharing the stage with musicians such as Los Tres, Jorge González, Javiera Parra, among others, the dates in their entirety called for more than 120 thousand people.
Anxious about making a second album, Sergio Lagos concentrates during the first half of 2008 on the composition of new songs. The same year, a reissue of the album 'Solo' CD+DVD titled 'Solo - Blondie 2007' goes on sale, a DVD that records the release of the album at discotheque Blondie, and also includes all the promotional videos released from & #39;Alone'.
Conception
During the recording process of 'Solo', Sergio had already begun to write the songs that would make up his second album; Sitting in his studio and with his wooden guitar in hand, he gave life to 'Concepción', the title of the album has a double meaning, the first for “the conception” of his wife, the singer Nicole, who gave birth to their first child. León, and second the name of his hometown.
'Concepción' (2008) was recorded at Estudio Negro between the months of December 2007 and May 2008; The album was completely finished on August 8, 2008, and production was once again in charge of Cristián Heyne.
This second album by Sergio moves between Pop and Folk, leaving less present the strident electric guitars that predominated in his first album. 'Concepción' is an album of light melodies with very personal lyrics, on the cover appears Sergio as a child with two children portrayed in some Plaza de Concepción. All the songs were composed by Lagos, except for “Zurcirás”, where he shares authorship with Heyne and the particular ranchera “No se te notata” with his guitar teacher Fernando Parra.
Sergio has presented his second album live at important Chilean music events such as El Día de la Música organized by SCD, the Santiago Rock festival and La Cumbre Del Rock Chileno II, and during the first half of 2009 he performed concerts at several cities throughout Chile and was part of the Movistar Música tour, where he performed live in Rancagua, Concepción and La Serena bringing together more than 100,000 people.
Two promotional singles were released from the album: “Todo Todo” (2008) and “Hojas de Miel” (2009).
Currently the singer-songwriter is preparing the release of his second DVD “Sala Master 2009”, an audiovisual work that records the concert for the launch of "Concepción", where he has the company of the musicians Jorge Yogui Alvarado, vocalists of Emociones Clandestinas and Nicole.
Irreversible
It is the year 2012 and Sergio Lagos together with his band Los Gaffers present 11 new songs, the result of 3 years of work. An album in which the friendship and musical production of Cristian López (Javiera and Los Imposibles) create an intense and deep album. Perhaps, the album that best represents Lagos as a composer, vocalist and lyricist.
Irreversible's first single is 'Lengua', which was recorded entirely on the island of Chiloé, southern Chile, under the direction of Andrés Mardones, who also made the video clips Ayer, Fugaz, Estrellaré and documentary of the album Irreversible.
The album, still in the process of promotion, had its official launch on 12/12/12 after a tour that does not stop, and that has traveled throughout Chile with great reception.
The return of Marciano
Parallel to the promotion of Irreversible, Sergio Lagos together with Rodrigo Castro, resume working together and thus the long-awaited return of the electronic duo Marciano is realized. Their new presentations have their premiere at the massive Creamfields festival, 2012.
