Serbian flag
The flag of Serbia is a tricolor with the colors of Pan-Slavism. It consists of three equal horizontal areas, red at the top, blue in the center, and white at the bottom, the same colors as the Russian flag.
The National Ensign|The national flag of Serbia is actually the inverted Russian ensign. Before the First Serbian Uprising against the Turks, a delegation from Serbia went to Russia for help. This was granted, and the delegation wanted to show their appreciation by asking them to use the Russian flag as the Balkan country's military ensign in battles. From here on, History takes different meanings depending on the versions: the first says that the approval was granted, but that the delegation forgot how the colors were arranged; the second says that the approval was not granted and the Serbs used the inverted Russian flag to annoy the Russians.
In unofficial usage, the flag often has the Serbian coat of arms or only its main symbol, the Serbian cross.
