Sand dwellers
The sand dwellers (also called raiders or Tusken Raiders, in English: Tusken Raiders or Sand People) are a fictional race from the Star Wars film series created by George Lucas.
Description
Tusk Raiders are portrayed as xenophobic and are known to be highly aggressive in their interactions with other species, though they are capable of engaging and cooperating with outsiders. They are dressed in tunics of thick cloth and have covered their heads with strips of cloth to hold a respiratory mask and eye protection.
Violent nomads of Tatooine, Tusken Raiders or Sand Raiders roam areas like the Dune Sea or the Jundland deserts hidden among the landscape.
These beings are covered from head to toe in bandages and masks that protect them from the two harsh suns of their home planet Tatooine. According to their religious beliefs, it is forbidden to show skin even among members of their own clan. This is why they are covered in tunics and other clothing. women wear a cloak on their heads and children a unisex tunic that makes it impossible to distinguish their sex. They are nomadic and very aggressive.
Their savage and violent behavior has turned them against settlers and moisture farmers, forcing them to live in remote and lonely lands.
They attack anyone who ventures into the dunes of Tatooine. They rarely come near spaceports like Mos Eisley or Mos Espa, but they are always on the outskirts waiting to rob and kill any beings that cross their path. The ferocious Tusken Raiders have been known to attack the camps of others of their race, clearly denoting their hostile, not organized planetary society.
They tend to stay away from populated areas, but in the heat of the seasons, when the twin suns set, they emerge from the deserts to scavenge or rob the borders of colonies.
During the night it is better to close the doors and windows well. Although they almost never enter houses, what they do do is kill those opponents who are alone outside.
The males of their species are in charge of hunting food and attacking, that is, all the arts of war and killing. The women remain in the camps where they care for the uli-ah (young men).
They have learned to train the native Tatooine banthas as mounts, and a marauding group of Tuskens will ride them in single file to hide their numbers. It is known that they develop a very intimate sentimental bond and the loss of one can affect the life of another. The bantha after losing its rider becomes uncontrollable and suicidal; and the inhabitant, after losing his mount, becomes depressed and loses meaning in life.

However, after returning from collecting the toll, Fett discovers that the tribe has been massacred, apparently by the Nikto gang from whom he had stolen the speeder bikes, and arranges an impromptu funeral.
