Sabrina is a 1995 American film directed by Sydney Pollack from a screenplay by Barbara Benedek and David Rayfiel and starring Julia Ormond and Harrison Ford. It would be nominated for two Academy Awards in 1996.

Plot

Sabrina Fairchild (Julia Ormond) is the young daughter of the Larrabee family's chauffeur, Thomas, and has been in love with David Larrabee (Greg Kinnear) her entire life. But hers has never sincerely taken notice of her, Sabrina travels to Paris for a fashion internship at Vogue and returns an attractive, sophisticated and beautiful woman. David, having initially failed to recognize her, is quickly drawn to her despite being newly engaged to Dr. Elizabeth Tyson.

David's older brother Linus (Harrison Ford) is a workaholic looking to take advantage of his younger brother's fiancée Elizabeth. Linus fears that David's impending wedding to the very proper Elizabeth may be in jeopardy. If the wedding were to be called off, it could also affect a lucrative merger with the bride's family business: Tyson Electronics, run by his father Patrick. This could cost the Larrabee Corporation run by Linus and his mother Maude many millions of dollars if the relationship between the two families becomes complicated.

Linus tries to redirect Sabrina's affections towards himself and it works, he is shown as a sentimental man looking for a mate, while his brother suffers an accident that leaves him forced to stay isolated and at rest, but in the process, Linus also falls in love with Sabrina. Reluctant to admit his feelings for her, Linus confesses his plan to Sabrina at the last moment and sends her sadly back to Paris. Before she boards the plane to Paris, her father informs her that during his years working as Mr. Larrabee's chauffeur, he overheard when Mr. Larrabee sold shares on the stock market, he also traded with his savings, sold and when Mr. Larrabee bought, he also bought shares. Sabrina jokingly says "Dad, are you telling me you have a million dollars?" Her father says no, he has a little over two million saved as a result of investing in the stock market and her mother would like her to have it.

Meanwhile, Linus realizes his true feelings for Sabrina, and is induced by David and his mother to follow her to Paris, they notice Linus's love for her and promote the merger with Tyson Electronics themselves, with the in order to free Linus from such an undertaking. Linus travels and reveals his love for her to Sabrina, finally kissing her.

Although with minor changes, the film is an adaptation of the film also titled Sabrina directed in 1954 by Billy Wilder and starring Humphrey Bogart, Audrey Hepburn and William Holden.
