Rosaura at ten (novel)
Rosaura at ten is an Argentine crime novel written by Marco Denevi and first published in 1955.
It was Marco Denevi's first novel, and it achieved great success, being later translated into various languages and also adapted for theater, film, and television. With this work, the author began a renowned literary career at the national and international level.
The book was included in the 1001 Books to Read Before You Die list at number 500, published in 2007.
Synopsis
The story is structured around the characters who live in La Madrileña pension, which is located in the city of Buenos Aires. Mrs. Milagros is the owner of the pension where her three daughters live, Camilo Canegato (a shy painter), David Réguel (a law student) and Mrs. Eufrasia, among other characters.
For six months, Camilo receives mysterious love letters from a girl who identifies herself as Rosaura. The story between them continues to progress but everything turns dark when she is found dead and each of the characters will have to give her version of her story.
