Etymological origin

Its name is due to the fact that the station is located on the road intersection of Avenida Vicuña Mackenna and Avenida Rojas Magallanes. This street remembers the former owner of the 'Florida' farm, Victorino Rojas Magallanes, on whose land the first urban center of the commune was developed.
