• Roberto I de Melguelh (778-?), Count of Melguelh, of Visigoth origin.
• Roberto I de France (about 865-923), king of Western France from 922 to 923;
• Roberto I of Normandy (1000-1035), known as "the Liberal", "the Devil" or "the Magnificent", Duke of Normandy since August 1027;
• Roberto I de Artois "the Good" (1216-1250), Count of Artois;
• Roberto I of Scotland (Robert the Bruce(1274-1329), king of Scotland from 1306 to 1329;
• Roberto I of Naples or Roberto de Anjou (1278-1343), known as "the Prudente", king of Naples and count of Provence, Duke of Calabria and king of Jerusalem;
• Roberto I de Parma (1848-1907), last Duke of Parma before the duke became part of the Kingdom of Italy.
