River waterfall
Cascante del Río is a municipality and old Aragonese town (it was populated in 1198, it belonged to the lordships of Ruiz de Castelblanque and Fernández de Heredia) belonging to the region and province of Teruel, Spain. It is located 22.4 km from the capital, in the Iberian System next to the Camarena River, a tributary of the Guadalaviar (Turia from Teruel) between Valacloche and Villel. It can be accessed by the Teruel-Cuenca national highway, turning off at Villel or you can also go through Villaspesa and Cubla.
It has a population of 71 inhabitants (INE 2018).
Geography
It has remains of an Iberian settlement in Cabezo de la Ermita and in Las Casas and a Roman settlement in Cabezo de la Ermita.
The municipality's altitude is 954 m and the surface area is 32.38 km².

Monuments
The church of San Nicolás de Bari is Gothic-Renaissance from the XVI century with a brick eaves, with a Mudejar-style tower. The remaining documentation of the church is in the National Historical Archive, clergy section in Madrid.
