Rich Kids on LSD, sometimes abbreviated as RKL, was a hardcore punk band from California, United States.

History

In the 1980s it was a group of teenage friends from Santa Barbara, California who were into punk music and skateboarding. They immigrated to San Francisco, also in California, looking for a broader punk music scene. There they squatted a place to live and practice, there they formed Rich Kids on LSD. The name of this one was given contemptuously by someone who saw them play and said: These children will never amount to anything. They're just rich kids on LSD. The band adopted that "kids rich on LSD" as official name.
