Receipt
A receipt or proof of payment is a record that serves to verify that the payment or solution of an obligation or the provision of a service or product has been fulfilled.
Receipts are written documents that can be public, although more often they are private, in which the creditor or accipiens of an obligation expressly acknowledges having received money or something else from the debtor or solvens. It requires the expression of the date, the signature of the recipient, the mention of the amount or the designation of the thing and the title of the obligation, so that it is not confused with the loan, deposit or other legal transaction in which there is a material sanction.. The receipts, in general, are issued in duplicate: the original is given to the person who made the payment and the duplicate remains in the possession of the person who receives it.
A receipt can be in many different ways such as: a person or company, and the detail of invoices or services that are paid with this issued check, who operates it, who reviews it, who receives it as described, date of received, description of invoices (numbers to be paid), total prices, discounts and taxes. It is used to record by a company what was paid or made with the issuance of the aforementioned check that appears in the voucher copy. It refers to a voucher when it has carbon copies, as in the case of credit card vouchers that have several copies depending on the use of the interested parties. It is worth mentioning that the receipts generally do not have a tax character, they do not serve as proof of tax collection,
But, there is the possibility in some cases in Argentina, such as doctors, accountants), to issue "Invoice Receipt", which fulfills the tax function and as proof of receipt of money.

Gift receipts
Receipts may be presented as proof of a transaction for the purpose of redeeming or returning the product. Some merchants offer "gift receipts" (also called "gift certificates") which are special receipts specifically designed for this purpose. Unlike a normal purchase receipt, the gift receipt omits certain information, particularly the price that an item is actually paid for. The receipt usually has a barcode on the bottom so the retailer can access transaction information from a database of previous purchases, authenticating a return.
