Real Vigo Sporting Club
The Real Vigo Sporting Club was a football club from Vigo (Galicia, Spain) born from the merger of the Vigo Foot-ball Club and the Sporting Club in 1913. Later, on August 10 from 1923 it disappeared after merging with the Real Fortuna Football Club.
It became one of the most powerful teams in Galicia, in whose regional championship it was crowned champion five times, before its merger with the other most powerful club, Fortuna Foot-ball Club, winner of the Galician Championship in the remaining editions until that date, to form the new club of Real Vigo Sporting Club.
Among its historical players, the Yarza brothers (Joaquín and Manuel) stood out, among others, who were crowned champions of Spain with the Madrid Foot-ball Club, currently Real Madrid C.F., and Manolo Gil and Otero, who were international in 1920 in the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp.
History

The Vigo Foot-ball Club was founded in 1905 and merged with the New Club in 1906 and with the Sporting Club in 1913, thus adopting the name Vigo Sporting Club. One year Later, the monarch Alfonso
It disappeared in 1923 when it merged with the Real Fortuna Football Club to form the current Real Club Celta de Vigo and thus form a Galician team that was more competitive and offered more difficulty to the Basque teams and, in particular, improved their participation in the Spanish Cup.
This team won the Galician championship five times (in 1913-14, 1916-17, 1918-19, 1919-20 and 1922-23) and reached the Copa del Rey semifinals three times. The last match between the two Vigo clubs, Real Vigo Sporting and Real Fortuna, was on March 11, 1923 and Sporting won the championship. Ramón scored the only goal of the game, winning 1-0.
