Ramoncin
José Ramón Julio Márquez Martínez (Madrid, November 25, 1955), better known as Ramoncín, is a rock singer, actor, writer, and presenter. Spanish. He was a member of the board of directors of the General Society of Authors and Editors (SGAE).
Biography
Ramoncín and W.C.?
He became part of a group by going to an advertisement that Jero Ramiro wrote in 1976 in Disco Express. The advertisement requested a singer for a group from Vallecas. It doesn't matter that he is very good but that he has a good time on stage.' Jumping Jack Flash & # 34; of the Rolling Stones in the rehearsal room. The group changed its name to "W.C.?", and thanks to Ramoncín's contacts they began to become known, making songs like "El Rey del Pollo Frito", " famous.;velvet sissy" or "Eat a Paraguayan". The press, however, begins to call the group 'Ramoncín y los WC?', something that bothers the rest of the band.
In 1977 the original members of the group decided to leave the band due to the punk direction that Ramoncín wanted to take, replacing them with Carlos Michelini, Roberto Jiménez and Manolo Caño. Months later, Ramoncín made an agreement with a record company and recorded the album Ramoncín y W.C.?, with studio instrumentalists. According to Jero Ramiro, the album included songs that belonged to the original band, without consulting or seeking consent from their original creators.
Thanks to the publication of this album, Ramoncín debuted at just 22 years old. The album contained songs like 'The King of Fried Chicken', a first-person narrative in which the singer put himself in the shoes of a top record manager. The public misunderstood her, believing that he was talking about himself, which eventually earned him the nickname "king of fried chicken."
Solo career
In 1979 he released his second album, Barriobajero, which contained songs that affected social themes (especially in the portraits of marginal figures, as in "Chuli"). But it was in 1981 when he achieved greater commercial success thanks to "Arañando la ciudad", for many his best album.[citation required] In it, Ramón opens up to a new sound that will evolve towards rock during the 80s. In addition, it contained hits like "Concrete, women and alcohol" (better known as "Liters of Alcohol"), "Queen of the Night", "Putney Bridge" or "Leather Angel".
In 1982 he published Corta!, an album that contains notable songs such as "Sopa de ojos", "Bajando" and "Sal de naja". A great fan of comics, he dedicates himself for a good season to criticizing them, with a section titled & # 34; Drawings to hesitate & # 34; in the magazine Rambla. Also at that time he made his first appearance in the cinema, in the film & # 34; Adolescence & # 34;.
In 1984 he released his fifth album, called Ramoncinco, with a change in his sound thanks to songs like "Nicaragua", highly politically charged, co-written with Manolo Tena, or "The Girl at Gate 16", half signed with Pepe Risi (Burning).
A year later (1985) Como el fuego was released, in line with the previous work, with songs like "La cita".
In 1986 La vida en el filo was released on the market. The song that opens the album, "Like a Whisper", features the guitar of Brian May, from Queen. Blind Faith (1988) had songs like " Help me! (I am not a hero)", "Forges and steels" and "Two lives".
To the limit, closing a stage
In 1990 he abandoned music with the double live album "Al limit, vivo ywild" to begin his career as a television presenter on La 2 de TVE, with the contest Lingo, which remained on screen for five years. During this time, some compilations and also some books came onto the market, including "Tocho Cheli", a kind of personal dictionary in which the singer compiled street slang terms.
In 1998 he returned to the recording studios to release Fear of Dreaming, a new album in which he presents new sound approaches and a more adult rock.[citation required]
At the same time, he became a regular guest on debate programs such as Moors and Christians or Martian Chronicles (during his first period).

Controversy
Due to his position as a member of the SGAE management team, his crusade against piracy and the defense of copyright and his statements, Ramoncín has been the focus of various controversies.
On his return to the stage in 2006 at that year's edition of Viña Rock in Villarrobledo (Albacete), Ramoncín suspended his performance because a part of the audience present threw various objects when he came out on stage. The singer has been characterized by his criticism of music piracy, even going so far as to complain about the supposed lack of commitment of other artists. This led him to be involved in a controversy with Joaquín Sabina, due to the title of Sabina's tour «Carretera y Top blanket". In August of this year Ramoncín announced that he would stop campaigning "as a headliner" for the defense of copyright because he had "had enough."
In November 2009, the media reported that its legal counsel, hired to ensure its good name and reputation, managed to close the channel of the humor magazine El Jueves on November 9 in the YouTube website due to the inclusion of two videos on said channel, which Ramoncín considered offensive. This publication referred to him as "that guy who was rebellious and then got a nose job. On November 13, given the repercussion of his complaint, Ramoncín apologized to the magazine's editorial team and ordered his lawyers to withdraw the complaint and ask YouTube to reopen the channel, in exchange for the publication removing the supposedly offensive videos. Ramoncín threatened to sue several more websites, including 20minutos, Wikia and Inciclopedia.
On May 25, 2015, he was accused of misappropriation by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office in a separate piece of the SGAE case, for which a sentence of four years and ten months in prison was requested. On January 12, 2016, he was acquitted by the National Court.
