Pure botany studies plants from a purely biological point of view, focusing on their morphology. It consists of three levels:

  • Fitopathology: studies the causes of diseases.
  • Palionology: studies the structures of pollen and spores.
  • Embryology: studies the development of embryos.

Special botany

  • Systematic:studies its diversity, as well as its biological relationship
  • Taxonomics: studies the classification.
  • Paleobótanica: study the remains of plant fossils.
  • Geobotany subdivided into:
    • Phytogeography: studies the geographical distribution of vegetables
    • Phytosociology: studies vegetable associations.
