Puni Puni Poemi

Puni Puni Poemi (ぷにぷにぽえみぃ), like Excel Saga, was directed by Shinichi Watanabe. It is a parody of many anime, especially the magical girls type, created on March 7, 2001 and December 19, 2001 (the series was two 30-minute ovas each). Some characters, like director Shinichi Watanabe, or Nabeshin, were already in Excel Saga, while others are new. It's no surprise that Puni Puni Poemi is an OVA sequel to Excel Saga.

Characters

• Poemi Watanabe (️えAdd):): She is a 10-year-old hyperactive girl; even more hyperactive than Excel, She wants to be a double actress, and she calls herself Kobayashi (the name of her own voice actress). On the other hand, and here begins parody, it looks like Sakura of Card Captor Sakura. After the "death" of Nabeshin and Kumi-kumi, you will live where the Asau sisters. After finding a fish and nailing a kitchen knife, the fish becomes a magical object that in turn transforms Poemi into the magic girl Puni Puni Poemi.

• Director Nabeshin or Nabeshin Watanabe (cherished away): Marido de Kumi-kumi-san and adoptive father of Poemi. It is the alter-ego of the director of the anime Shinichi Watanabe who also appears in the chapters of Excel Saga.

• Kumi-kumi-san: Girl of the mountains of Excel Saga and adoptive mother of Poemi.

• Kei-kun: The guy who likes Poemi. The funny thing is, Genki (energy) that is Poemi, do not dare to speak with Kei-kun. Then the secret of Kei-kun would be discovered.

• Queen Maga: She is a strange woman who appears at the beginning of chapter 1 talking to Puni Puni Poemi. She's in a space station where she watches the Earth, she's murdered by the #2 line.

• Aliens: They are intergallic killers who speak in a strange language. There are 2 types, the line #1, which seems to have a testicle hanging, and the line #2 which has two. They seem to be extremely powerful, as they could block all Nabeshin's attacks. They can also pilot giant Robot.

The Asau Sisters

The Asau Sisters are the family Poemi stays with after the death of her adoptive parents Nabeshin and Kumi-kumi. His last name is due to the fact that Asau, in the Japanese translation for "Earth" (Earth in English) since they are the guardians of planet Earth. Each one of them has a special power, but unfortunately none of these are offensive, they can only be used to defend themselves. Also each of their names is based on the Japanese numbers from 1 to 7, from the smallest to the largest.

• Nanase: 28 years old. She's the oldest sister in the family, who works in an office. His power is to invoke a field of flowers, which does not serve much. His fantasy is to be a man. His name derives from Nana, which means "siete" in Japanese.

• Mutsumi: 22 years old. It seems to have a complex with the small size of your breasts. It has purple hair and wears white, which makes it look like the first Ropponmatsu of Excel Saga. His power is to fall from heights without harm. His name derives from Mutsu, which means "six" in Japanese.

• Itsue: 19 years old. He works as Dominatrix, constantly occupies his whip to beat his sisters when he's angry. His power is to create a protective energy field with his whip. Its name derives from Itsu, which means "five" in Japanese.

• Shii: 18 years old. It has a great resemblance to Hyatt of Excel Saga only that has huge breasts, which like to pose on Poemi's head, is continually mentioning how heavy they are. Your fantasy is to have smaller breasts. His power is to heal others. His name comes from Shi, which means "four" in Japanese.

• Mitsuki: 15 years old. It's energy and sportsman. Initially she opposes Poemi staying in her house, but her sisters convince her otherwise. Its power is the super speed, with which it can reach great speed. Your fantasy is to be a millionaire. His name derives from Mittsu, which means "three" in Japanese.

• Smoking: 10 years old. Poemi's best friend and classmate. He likes Poemi, loves Poemi and can't be without her. There's some yuri in the animé, even if it's not as explicit as hentai movies. Of course, it's a parody to Tomoyo Daidouji of Card Captor Sakura. It has the power to pacify hostile creatures. At the end of the second episode it becomes known that Futaba is the true main character. His name comes from Futa, which means "two" in Japanese. As a curiosity in the series of Excel Saga, Futaba and Poemi appear as imitators of Excel and Hyatt in several episodes of the same and adulthood, this makes us think that, despite being an OVA, the history of Poemi occurs before the history of Excel Saga.

• Hitomi: 3 years old. She's the youngest of the sisters. Which has as a fantasy growing fast. It has the power of premonition, and of being able to predict bad events. His name comes from Hito, which means "One" in Japanese
