Puca Pucara is a military construction located near Cusco, in Peru. This fortress is made up of large walls, terraces and stairways and was part of the defensive complex of Cusco in particular and of the Inca Empire in general.

In the field of archaeological constructions near the capital of the extinct empire, this town is visited. Puca Pucara receives its name in Quechua from "Red Fortress", due to the red color that the rocks acquire during twilight. Puca Pucara is another sample of military architecture that also functioned as an administrative center, it has platforms, superimposed terraces, stairways and passages.
