The psoas minor muscle is a muscle found in the abdominal cavity, in front of the psoas major; even, long and slender.

It originates from the bodies of the T12 and L1 vertebrae and is inserted, via a tendon, into the iliopubic eminence. Its main action is to collaborate in trunk flexion.

Innervated by branches of the lumbar plexus (l1, l2, l3)

The psoas minor muscle is only found in 50 to 60% of the population.
